Amazing Decision.    Very Happy for Melbourne High but Interesting that the Minister wanted Higher.  One Wonders Who of the Old Boys  was able   to Exert that sort of Pressure?  Wish that Old Boy had such concern for the rest of the area. 
The Rest of the Area was Approved by Madden for heights like 38 Storeys. so the area is Wrecked\, against the Council and the community. .

Shrine of Remembrance

Brumby Government Caves in to Pressure about the proposed Tower which would have dominated the Shrine Forecourt.    The Government has been  under attack from all sides about this proposal.  
Why didn't Minister Madden  just refuse it outright instead of sending it to a Panel which cost the Shrine thousands of dollars for legal representation to fight  their case , forcing the Shrine to put other things on hold.    The Government should now repay the Shrine the  money they  spent as  it was due to Governments ineffective Planning Department.
